Marcia Bauerle
Mixed-media artist, Marcia Bauerle, is known for abstract collages layered with inspired words, hand-painted tissues and rice papers, balanced with geometric elements. On-going series portray sunflowers, scenes from U.S. Highway 6, and aerial landscapes. Her recent artistic practice includes portraits and icons of family members as well as historical and imaginary humans and dogs. Travel, music, intellectual questions, faith, and “small world” connections are important influences. Bauerle has realized an affinity with the works of Frank Lloyd Wright and twentieth-century collage master, Kurt Schwitters. A certified educator, she enjoys teaching collage workshops across the Midwest. Bauerle’s work has been seen in over 40 venues with solo exhibitions, ANAC exhibitions (Association of Nebraska Art Clubs), and as a juried member of Impact Nebraska Artists.
