Arrival

Upon arrival, you will go to the Mahoney Lodge where you will check in and get a map of the park. Parking is limited, so call Kelly at 308-440-1134 to shuttle you to the cabins. You can then go to the cabin I have assigned you (which I will do prior to the retreat), and pick your bunk bed (yes, just like when we were kids). Then we will come together at cabin #3 for a fun “get to know you”. Light bites and beverages will be provided.

Impasto Painting

Theresa Ford, multi-disciplined artist, will guide you through the process of creating with texture by using impasto techniques.

Visit Ashland

We will head in as a group to Ashland, where we will stop by the Turtle Creek Art Gallery to enjoy original art and explore Ashland's thriving and historic downtown. At 6:00, we will go to Ashland Brewing Co for more get to know you time. Enjoy complimentary charcuterie, with beverages available for purchase from the brewery's fine craft beer selection.

After another good night’s sleep in the cabins, workshops will begin at 9:00am. Marcia Bauerle will share her expertise in designing evocative mixed-media collage.

Watercolor

Back by popular demand, brilliant Lincoln artist Danny Reneau will lead an engaging workshop where we will create watercolor landscapes.
